There was lots of fun for little ones at the biennial Teddy Bears’ Picnic held by the Rotary Club of Wendover & District – including ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’.
About 150 adults and at least 300 children attended the Teddy Bears’ Picnic, which took place in beautiful weather last Wednesday at Weston Turville Village Hall and playing fields.
Children enjoyed Going On A Bear Hunt, got wet, chased soap bubbles and got chased by a lady bear, with parents making really scary trees.
The day also included educational games contributed by AVDC Play Around The Parishes.
Gazebos created shade and an intimate atmosphere where families could picnic, chat and play their own games.
The event raised money for charities including Topsy Turvey Playgroup in Weston Turville and Wheelpower at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.
