A pensioner was treated for minor injuries after a two-car crash on Oxford Road.

Police were called to the scene near the traffic lights just before Aylesbury College at 10.01am after a crash between a black Volvo and a silver Honda.

Two fire engines, an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene.

A spokesman for Bucks Fire and Rescue said that a woman and a man had been released uninjured before firefighters arrived.

A spokesman South Central Ambulance Service said: “We sent an ambulance crew and an ambulance officer to the scene, where a male in his 70s was assessed and treated at the scene for minor injuries.

“No one required any hospital treatment.”

The road is now clear.
