Tributes to popular Aylesbury DJ Ben Brydon
THE mother of a popular DJ from Aylesbury who died suddenly aged just 32 has described her shock at her son's death.
Ben 'Bracket' Brydon suffered a fatal heart attack at a friend's home in London last Monday (April 6). Already more than 430 friends have joined a Facebook page set up in his honour.
Mr Brydon, who grew up on the Wendover Park estate in Aylesbury, was a well-known DJ who made his own electronic 'dub-step' music and also produced mixes.
Radio One DJ Mary Anne Hobbs played one of his tracks in the early hours of Thursday morning in tribute to him.
Mr Brydon often performed at shows including one in Malta and Butlins and before moving to London 18 months ago, made appearances at Hampdens and The Ship in Aylesbury.
The former William Harding and John Colet pupil was also in school 'grunge' band Tribal Curse.
He worked at pension firm Bluefin in London, moving from the HBOS offices in Aylesbury where he had spent several years.
His friends have posted hundreds of messages and photos on website Facebook.
Mr Brydon leaves behind father Alan, mother Glenys, brother James, 29, sister Lauren, 26, and half-brother and sister, twins George and Evie, 10. His funeral will be held at Amersham Crematorium on Friday April 17 at 1pm, with the wake taking place later at Aston Clinton Sports and Social Club.
