Thousands turn out for Aylesbury's Hobble on the Cobbles

LIVE music fans were spoilt yesterday (Sunday) as Hobble on the Cobbles returned to Aylesbury town centre for a third year running, this time with Eddie and The Hot Rods headlining.

The raunchy rockers have had three hit albums and four top-forty UK hit singles including the top-ten hit Do Anything You Wanna Do.

Organised by the Aylesbury Showcase on behalf of Aylesbury Town Centre Partnership, Hobble on the Cobbles has become Buckinghamshire's largest all-day free live music festival caters for a wide range of musical tastes from heavy rock to acoustic pop.

Headlining the second stage was Francis Rodino, a classically trained New Yorker who loves his Italian heritage. He studied at the Verdi Conservatory of Milan, passed his Grade 8 exams in cello with distinction and was inspired by 50s rock n' roll to pick up his Dad's old nylon stringed guitar and start writing songs.

Also performing at the event were Buckingham bands The Swamis, The Red Bullets, and Dave Easter, Watford acoustic trio Navaro and Oxford artist Juliana Meyer. Luton band, Loz Jones who wrote and released the song Bring The Ducks Home as the new football anthem for Aylesbury United Football Club earlier this year performed the single on the main stage with a few special guests.

Rising stars, Slashed Seat Affair, The Heathers, and Aylesbury band The Powders, who have just released their second album, Warm, also performed.

The third stage was exclusively for cover-bands and this year Charlie Don't Surf were headlining.

Also this year The Chopper Club put on a display of 300 of the best custom made motorcycles.

The event was raising money for charity Wheelpower. Donations can be made directly on www.justgiving. com/hobbleonthecobbles
