Thorntons is leaving Friars Square in Aylesbury in just over a fortnight after their lease was brought to an end by the landlords.
Jewellery store Warren James will replace the popular chocolate shop.
A statement from the chocolate manufacturer said: “Thorntons can confirm that the store in Aylesbury will close on April 18 because the lease was brought to an end by the landlord.
“We have been delighted to serve our many Aylesbury customers over the years and would love to welcome them to any of our nearby stores in Milton Keynes or High Wycombe in the future.
“Alternatively, our products are available to order online at www.thorntons.co.uk.
“We will try our utmost to redeploy our staff to other Thorntons stores in the area.”
Andy Margieson, Friars Square centre manager said: “Thorntons will be closing to make way for popular high street jewellery brand Warren James. The centre is committed to bringing strong retail brands to Aylesbury and Warren James will offer shoppers value for money and an excellent range of products.
“This will be our second store opening in 2015 already, following The Entertainer which opened on March 14.
“The work to create the new Metrobank store is also well underway so it’s going to be an exciting year for Friars Square.”
