School saddened after sudden death of head teacher

It has been confirmed that the head teacher of Stoke Mandeville Combined School died suddenly yesterday (Thursday).

Bucks County Council has confirmed that head Graham Hollows died after collapsing in school on Thursday afternoon.

He had been head teacher at the school for 18 months and leaves behind a wife and young children.

The school is closed today (Friday), and a parents' evening scheduled for last night was also cancelled.

Marion Clayton, Cabinet Member for Achievement and Learning, said: "Graham had a huge impact on the pupils and parents at Stoke Mandeville School and was a highly regarded headteacher and superb colleague. The whole school community of Buckinghamshire will be shocked to hear of the sad news of Graham's death."
