Residents at a care home in Aylesbury enjoyed an afternoon of old-style musical entertainment performed by singer Maria Scobey.

Buckingham Lodge Care Home was transported back to Victorian-Edwardian times as staff dressed up for the occasion while residents and visitors enjoyed music from the period.

Julie Chanel, customer relations manager at the home in Buckingham Park, said: “It was a really good event which was a lot of fun.

“The residents loved it and it brought back a lot of memories for them.”

Everyone present enjoyed champagne and cake and about 60 people attended.
