Princes Risborough man to star in The Apprentice
A RECRUITMENT sales manager from Princes Risborough will be doing all he can to impress Sir Alan Sugar in this year's The Apprentice.
Lee McQueen is up against 15 other aspiring tycoons to win the coveted prize of a six-figure salary and the opportunity to work for one of the most successful business moguls in the world.
He has already beaten 20,000 other hopefuls desperate to appear on the award-winning BBC show.
The 30-year-old is the son of a milkman and was brought up in Perivale, Middlesex.
On the BBC website it says he realised at an early age the importance of working hard and getting your foot on the property ladder.
Aged just 18 he bought his first house and then went on to buy one for his mother in return for all the support she has given him.
Mr McQueen describes himself as a cat – 'sometimes purring with affection and other times just biting.'
He has more than eight years experience in the recruitment industry gained predominately in IT.
To cheer up his colleagues he likes to do a 'reverse pterodactyl' which involves him standing on a chair and screeching.
He applied to the show because he believes Sir Alan to be 'a true entrepreneur' and thinks he can learn to be a fantastic businessman working for him.
Mr McQueen, who has eight GCSEs and BTEC Diploma in IT, said: "There is no airy-fairy stuff with me, I tell it how I see it."
The Apprentice is back for a 12-week run on BBC One at 9pm on Wednesday 26 March.
Will you be cheering on Mr McQueen?
