The chefs of the future had the chance to showcase their culinary skills at the weekend as part of a competition organised by the Rotary Club of Aylesbury Hundreds.
Nine students from four schools each cooked two courses at Aylesbury College, which were tasted by a panel of judges.
Will Bisley from Waddesdon Church of England School was announced as the winner of the event, with his two courses consisting of handmade spicy butternut squash tortellini with garden herbs followed by vanilla panna cotta with poached rhubarb.
Will won dinner for four at Hartwell House, which was presented to him by the chairman of Aylesbury Vale District Council Cllr Jenny Bloom.
Second place went to Sophia Brown from Aylesbury High School with Kit Parsons, also from Waddesdon School, in third.
Daniel Richardson, who was one of the judges for the event said: “The standard of cooking and presentation this year was outstanding and choosing an overall winner was not an easy task.”
