Hundreds of children in frighteningly good Halloween costumes enjoyed some half-term fun with a spooky theme at both Friars Square Shopping Centre and Market Square in Aylesbury last week.
At Friars Square Shopping Centre, entertainers Bread and Butter provided fun and their special mobile Zombie Disco which played Halloween hits such as Thriller, Monster Mash and Ghostbusters.
Large audiences watched three shows from the comical zombies which included fancy dress competitions and prizes for monster dance moves.
A ten foot tall stiltwalking witch and her devilish friend scoured the centre and gave out treats to children in fancy dress.
Friars Square centre manager Andy Margieson said: “We put on an extra spooky event this Halloween with lots of wicked entertainment for youngsters and shoppers to enjoy.
“The Zombie disco proved to be comedy gold, playing some monstrously good tracks and it was fantastic to see so many children dressed up in Halloween costumes.”
Meanwhile, at Market Square hundreds of children enjoyed a similar event courtesy of Aylesbury Town Council.
Activities included fancy dress competitions, and a pumpkin carving competition.
Prizes were presented by Aylesbury mayor Cllr Barbara Russell.
Other entertainment included a Pantoween, Thriller Dancing from Spotlight Musical Theatre, an array of amazing animals and reptiles and a host of games, crafts and activities.
