Picture Special: Care home holds beach-themed open day

A flavour of summer came to Buckingham Lodge Care Home at its open day on Saturday.

Guests enjoyed music and entertainment throughout the day at the home in Culpepper Close, Aylesbury.

There was also a barbecue and cream cakes were served.

Members of the 1st Stoke Mandeville Brownies attended and sang songs and played games.

The Brownies also enjoyed the chance to build sandcastles and played in the paddling pool.

Around thirty visitors attended during the course of the day.

Customer relations manager Julie Chanel said: “We had a wonderful day and our residents loved meeting new people from Buckingham Park and seeing the children enjoying the beach.”
