Pensioner dies following Aylesbury crash

A pensioner has died in hospital following an accident on the A41 in Aylesbury earlier this month.

The incident took place on Tring Road at the junction with King Edward Avenue on Thursday March 16 at around 3.30pm.

The crash involved a silver Volkswagen Golf and a white Land Rover Defender.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 74-year-old woman from Aylesbury, was taken to Wycombe Hospital for treatment.

She passed away on Sunday March 19 but police only released details of the news on Saturday 25.

Investigating officer PC Colin Riley said: “This incident has very sadly resulted in a lady losing her life and I am appealing for information from anyone who saw this collision or who has any information relating to it.

“If anyone has any details which they think could help our investigation, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.”
