Not voting on June 4 would be a mistake

That's the opinion of today's correspondent.

Sir,

The media has done its part in the democratic process and exposed the abuse of the Parliamentary expenses system. The Bucks Herald has published our own MP's expenses, and now all that remains is for the voters to show what they think of the matter.

Sadly, I am hearing of more and more people say they have decided not to vote on June 4th. I believe not to vote would be a mistake. We have an opportunity to change thing let us turn out and exercise our democratic right and show our displeasure by voting against the Lib/Lab Con. I would not normally suggest how anyone should vote, but in this case I would urge everyone to vote for anyone who is not a member of the three major parties.

Gordon Brown says leave it to us, we will sort out the mess – I bet they will. They will ensure that they are never caught out again. It is not enough to say "Sorry I was caught out,, it was a mistake, I will pay the money back." If it were, the prisons in this country would be empty.

The only hope for our Democracy is every one to turn up on June 4 and choose new people to lead us.
