Nicki Gregory: Relay for Life is coming to Aylesbury

BH Blogger Nicki Gregory is letting the people of the Vale know all about an upcoming 24 hour charity event.

The first ever Cancer Research Relay for Life is taking place in Aylesbury on July 4 and 5 2009 at Aylesbury Rugby Football Club in Weston Turville.

Relay for Life, not to be confused with Race for Life, is a 24 hour event which involves teams from the local community raising money throughout the year, and then coming together for an inspiring overnight event of celebration and commemoration.

As part of Relay for Life we are holding a fete on Saturday July 4th from 12 – 4pm that is open to everyone, so please do come along and show your support, and see what Relay is all about.

There will be lots of fun and entertainment to keep you all amused whilst having a look at the stalls, including music from Turnfurlong School Jazz band, a dance display from Kandeez Dance School and live music from local band The Red Bullets!

Chairwoman Lisa Fisher says "We are really excited to be able to bring a Relay for Life to Aylesbury. We want to make this first ever Relay a great success, and I hope everyone in the Aylesbury community can help us achieve our goal of raising 30,000 for Cancer Research. Fingers crossed for sunshine!"
