Hayley O’Keeffe asks people in Aylesbury whether feeding pigeons in the town centre should be banned in order to bring their population down.
Rosie Talbot, Weedon:
“I don’t think it should be illegal. All creatures have a right to have something to eat.
“There are enough problems in the world without people worrying about pigeons.”
John Spencer, Marlow:
“I think they should make it illegal.
“They are messy and feeding them encourages them to pester people.
“Pigeons are just flying rats and people should not feed them.”
Nicki Carberry, Ford:
“I think that making it illegal would be good.
“Feeding them encourages them to go everywhere and it is dangerous because they are spreading diseases.”
Christine Rickard, Bierton:
“I agree that it should be made illegal, because I think there are too many of them and they could be a danger for children eating food in the town centre.”
Bradley Briggs, Leighton Buzzard:
“It should be made illegal.
“Pigeons carry disease and by feeding them that’s how it spreads because it creates a bigger crowd.
“Big flock, big disease.”
