Becca Harty asks people in Market Square, Aylesbury, what they make of the recent weather.

Raymond McArdle, Aylesbury:

“I think it’s just a blip in the system. If you look back to things in the past like the Ice Age, you see that the weather works in cycles, so I think at the moment it’s a bad part of the cycle”.

Norma Fleming, Watermead:

“Just a blip in the weather movement. The past shows us that we get bad weather occasionally, so the past few weeks have just been part of the bad points in the movement”.

Emily Lamprecht, Bledlow:

“I think it’s easy to say that it’s because of global warming, but I don’t think that the recent weather conditions is directly linked. It’s most likely just a blip of bad weather”.

Max Faulhammer, Bledlow:

“I would say it’s down to global warming. The weather hasn’t been this extreme recently, especially from what I’ve seen in other countries. The recent weather was awful”.

Katrina Warren, Thame:

“I think it’s down to global warming. The scientists tell us that it’s a major problem, and the weather has been getting gradually worse recently. There has also been a lot of patterns”.
