Trauma sufferers will '˜thrive not just survive'

Inspire All is based in Aylesbury’s Old Town and is run by psychotherapist Genevieve Feasey, town councillor and former Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB) support worker Ranjula Takodra and fundraiser Hilda Stearn.

The trio got together after Ranjula was made redundant from her CAB role, and bonded over a shared drive to improve people’s lives both practically and emotionally.

Now in their second month of working, Inspire All works with victims of trauma. Trauma can present in many forms, from those who have experienced crimes such as rape, to those affected by a home break in.

Ranjula said: “We are all bringing in our own experiences. I know Aylesbury really well so can help give advice on things like housing and benefits in a practical way. But we can also offer psychological support to help get to the root of the problem.”

Inspire All is currently in talks with various agencies about taking referrals, but potential users of the free service can also self refer.

Ranjula added: “Our unique approach is based on well-researched best practices combined with coping strategies to suit each individual’s experience.”
