Wildlife hospital Tiggywinkles has received a cheque for £500 for sales of a beer launched to mark twenty years of Mix 96.

The cheque was presented to the hospital by the Chiltern Brewery, who brew the beer, which was given the name ‘Bucks Best’ following a competition run jointly by the brewery and Mix 96.

The radio station agreed to donate 5p of every pint to the Haddenham-based wildlife hospital, which is the station’s charity of the year.

Tom Jenkinson, head brewer of The Chiltern Brewery said: “Congratulations to Les and Sue Stocker for establishing the world’s busiest wildlife hospital here in Haddenham.

“I feel so proud to be able to contribute proceeds from the sale of our Bucks Best special beer to this wonderful cause.”
