A school for children with special educational needs held its first ever prom for students as part of its end of term celebrations.

Year 11 students and sixth formers from Pebble Brook School in Churchill Avenue, Aylesbury, hitched a ride in the school minbus to the Ex-Servicemens Club in Walton Street to enjoy a disco, drinks and nibbles as they partied with friends, family and teachers. Receptionist Jo Ridgely said: “It was absolutely brilliant – they loved every minute of it. They enjoyed getting dressed up and we even had some former students come back to join in who said it was the best night of their life.” The evening was organised by the school’s learning support assistants, who wished to thank event planners Lets Party and the Aylesbury branch of Hobbycraft for their kind donations to the event.
