An Aylesbury family got a spooky Halloween treat when a ghostly face appeared in their saucepan of pasta.
Jodie Kimble, 34, was tending to her five-month-old son Louie while their favourite dinner of spaghetti bolognese was cooking and when she asked her daughter Emilie to check on the food the 16 year old got more than she bargained for.
Jodie, who lives in Bedgrove, said: “I asked Emilie to check on the food and then I spotted her taking a photo of it.
“I asked her what she was doing and she said a ghostly face had formed in the water.
“We have no idea how it got there but it was a bit freaky, in a funny kind of way.
“We then stirred the food and although the face was still there it was not as noticeable.”
Jodie added that the paranormal activity in the saucepan had left her daughter convinced the house was haunted.
She said: “Emilie is a bit worried now because this isn’t the first strange thing that has happened.
“Some pictures have mysteriously fallen off the walls in the kitchen and a box of cards fell down in the night.
“She’s starting to get a bit freaked by it all and it’s making her wonder if there are ghosts in the kitchen.”
Jodie said they planned to use the photo for Halloween to scare any trick and treaters that came round.
She said: “We have printed it out and we plan to use it for Hallowen tonight.
“We are also planning to go trick and treating as a family. Louie is dressing up as a spider and Emilie as a witch’s cat.”
