School’s inspection pushed back

A primary school has been told it does not need an inspection from the government until 2015 because its ‘performance has been sustained’.

Stoke Mandeville Combined School was visited by Ofsted inspectors who assessed the school’s need for an inspection since it was rated as ‘good’ in June 2011.

Ofsted checked up on pupils’ attainment, progress and attendance, described as an ‘interim assessment’.

But it was decided the sustained performance is enough to push the next inspection back until next year at the earliest.

The Lower Road school has more than 200 pupils between the ages of four and 11.
