Potholes repaired and white lines painted as Weedon Road goes back to its best

The 340 metre section, between the Buckingham Road and Meadowcroft junctions was completed on schedule over five nights and within the £180,000 budget.

The section was due to be resurfaced in the summer and was brought forward to save on the cost of short-term repairs to a short stretch of damaged surface near Buckingham Road junction, following a Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) inspection

Mark Shaw, Buckinghamshire County Council Cabinet Member for Transport, who inspected the finished work today, said: “This is great news for drivers who use this busy section of road.

“I’m delighted we’ve been able to do the permanent resurfacing and solve the issue of the badly pock-marked stretch in one fell swoop, which makes the money go further.”

In the current financial year the County Council will invest more than £15 million in resurfacing and maintaining Buckinghamshire’s roads.
