A Peeping Tom who was spotted trying to look into a woman’s bedroom is being hunted by police.

The incident of voyeurism occurred in Butlers Cross at around 8.30pm on Saturday, when a man was seen with a ladder at the back of a house on Chalkshire Road.

It is believed he was attempting to see into the bedroom of a female living at the house.

The man was spotted by an occupant at the address and he ran off.

The offender is described as white and in his thirties, of medium build and around 5ft 9ins. He had a stocky face and was wearing dark clothing and a dark beanie hat.

Investigating officer PC Alex Field from High Wycombe CID said: “We believe the suspect may have been in the vicinity of the road for some time and may have parked a vehicle close by, which would have been left unattended.

“I would like to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area and I want to reassure the community we are doing everything to locate this offender.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Field via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.

If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
