A planning application has been submitted for 168 houses on land near the Tring Road Tesco in Aylesbury.
Spen Hill Developments, owned by Tesco, has applied to build the homes on brownfield land behind the supermarket.
The development is set to feature one and two-bed apartments and two and three-bed houses, with all the buildings being three storeys or lower.
Access for vehicles and pedestrians will be via an estate road off Park Street and is separate from the main entrance to the store off the roundabout on Tring Road.
Spen Hill say in a statement submitted with the application ‘that the site in its current state is unattractive and contributes little to the local area’.
