Morrisons has removed all trolley locks at its Station Way store in Aylesbury in response to customer feedback.
There is now no need to insert a £1 coin or token to release a trolley from its bay following the update to the store’s trolley fixtures on Friday.
Phil Palmer, store general manager for Morrisons Aylesbury said: “Our nation is getting busier and we have less free time than previous generations.
“Customers in Aylesbury have told us that they want a quicker shop.
“The removal of trolley locks is just one of the many improvements we are making to our store – to make for a faster and easier shopping trip.”
A Morrisons spokesperson added: “We trust our customers will return their trolleys.
“If they do find an abandoned trolley they should call the store and it will be removed.”
150,000 locks will be removed from Morrisons stores nationwide during July.
