Aylesbury’s Andrew and Stacey Hewitt have turned their front-garden into a fright-fest of zombies and witches to celebrate Halloween.
The array of spooky decorations at their home in Fairford Leys Way are a sign of Mr Hewitt’s passion for the occasion.
He said: “Halloween’s great because you can go all out with the horror, and you just can’t do that at any other time.”
Passers-by are showing their admiration, with children crowding round to get a look. Plenty of effort, and money, has gone into creating the unusual display, and the figures of the living dead still had to survive a battering from Monday’s storm.
Mr Hewitt said: “If I added up all the time I’ve put into this, it would probably have taken about four days.
“Keeping it all tied down during the storm was crazy!
“It all cost between £400 and £500, but I’m happy with that.”
The real target for the scary scene is not the neighbours but the Hewitt’s two-year-old son Caiden.
Mr Hewitt said: “We just want him to enjoy Halloween and remember this great effort that we’ve made.”
