“There are so many great individual performances. I take my hat off to my staff and the children for the work they have put in.”
The school’s achievements include the art department securing 13 A*s and six As and the photography department getting 13 A*s and nine As.
The physics department achieved five A*s and four As. the maths faculty secured five A*s and 13 As.
One pupil, Oliver Clements, got 11 A*s and three A grades.
When asked about how hard pupils such as Oliver had worked, Mr Preston said: “It’s obviously very hard to get an A but to get an A* you have to be in the top five per cent.”
