A MAN died after being hit by a train at Cheddington railway station on Monday morning.
Network Rail confirmed the incident happened at the north end of the station at 10.20am.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The line remained closed until 11.35am, causing delays and cancellations to other services.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to Cheddington rail station on Monday January 30 after a report that a man had been struck by a train.
“Officers from British Transport Police and Thames Valley Police attended the incident, which was reported to police at 10.20am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“Paramedics from South Central Ambulance service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The train involved was the service 9.46am Euston to Crewe service.
The line was handed back at 11.35am.
