The Liberal Democrats have retained their Oakfield seats following yesterday’s by-election.
The party kept hold of seats on Aylesbury Town Council and Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) which had been occupied by former mayor Steve Patrick before his death.
Allison Harrison, who already sits on the town council, will be the new face at AVDC, while Mark Willis makes a return to the town council, having previously been a member of the authority.
UKIP came second in both polls, an improvement on their last result in the ward, with the Conservatives beaten into third.
The full result in the district council election was: Lib Dem 406, UKIP 325, Con 173, Lab 145, Ind 118.
The full result in the town council election was: Lib Dem 391, UKIP 304, Con 172, Lab 155, Ind 146.
