Thames Water has said main customer concerns revolve around keeping the cost of bills low.
Further comments from the 1,600 people who responded to the questionnaire suggested concerns with population growth, water resources, climate change and leakage.
As part of its long-term strategy, the water and sewerage company has been asking people their views on the challenges ahead.
Sarah McMath, Thames Water’s head of strategic business planning, said: “It’s really encouraging that so many people took the time to come and speak to us and to fill in the questionnaire. We will now be able to consider everything that people have said and will be feeding it back into our long-term strategy.”
The strategy will form part of the five-year plan the company submits to regulator Ofwat in 2014, which will determine water bills prices for 2015 to 2020.
