A former insurance brokers has been given a new lease of life as a bustling coffee shop after its owner spotted a gap in the market.

Taylor Francis Insurance Brokers occupied the small office in London Road, Aston Clinton, until the beginning of June when the firm moved to bigger premises above Adams Garage in Oakfield Road, Aylesbury.

The company’s owner Tim Taylor is a big coffee shop fan and somewhat of a connoisseur when it comes to the black stuff, so he leafletted the village to test the water with his idea.

After getting the green light from locals, he and business partner Phil Brunton fitted out the former office,

The counter was stocked with top quality coffee beans from a two-man roastery in Bath, 15 different types of tea and locally-made cakes before Tim named his new venture Aston Clinton Coffee.

Tim, 30, lives in Weston Road with his two cocker spaniels Poppy and Jake.

He said: “I wanted to create a really nice environment that people could come either in a group or on their own, with good customer service and top draw coffee.”
