Six new homes are to replace garages in Aston Clinton after the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust was given permission to redevelop the site.
The social landlord’s plan will see 30 garages off Longcroft demolished and a two-storey block with six one-bed flats built.
The garages are owned by the trust, with 18 currently rented out, 15 to people in the area and three to tenants living more than half a kilometre away.
As well as nine spaces for the new residents and visitors, the redevelopment will create room for 15 other vehicles to accommodate existing users who live nearby.
The trust is undertaking a £5 million project to redevelop up to 70 garages sites in rural and urban locations around the Vale into around 200 affordable homes.
The project has proved controversial at times, but the parish council did not object to the Aston Cliton development.
