An industry expert has been appointed to help a growing business expand to take on new work.
Acsoft, which makes noise and vibration equipment and software-based measurement systems from its Wingrave base, has appointed Peter Smith as sales and application engineer.
To support Acsoft’s growth as a firm, Mr Smith will drive pre sales support and play an important role in the sales process – with a greater focus on customer satisfaction.
Mr Smith has previously worked at colour calibration company X-Rite Europe GmbH, and was sales manager at Konica Minolta 3D selling 3D laser scanning hardware and software.
John Shelton, managing director at Acsoft, said: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Peter’s calibre to Acsoft.
“We are experiencing major growth for our noise and vibration instrumentation and sensors across virtually all target markets.
“Peter brings a wealth of experience in the measurement instrumentation industry which makes him ideally suited to communicating the many features and technical nuances that set our products apart.
“I am sure that he will provide a valuable contribution by helping our customers achieve their business goals and ensuring our technologies are aligned with the market’s changing needs.”
Acsoft’s noise and vibration products are used in a wide range of industries, including environmental, aerospace, automotive and telecommunications.
The firm was set up in setup in 1994 by John Shelton, who, having spent many years with another company in the UK and Denmark, decided that the future was with software-based measurement systems, with an emphasis on PCs and Windows.
Acsoft staff members are renowned in the field, and were recently invited to record and measure the engine noise of the last flying Vulcan aircraft at an engine test.
