Around 70 firefighters from across Bucks marched into Aylesbury this afternoon as part of their ongoing spat with the Government.
Firefighters marched from the Bucks Fire and Rescue Service headquarters in Stocklake to Aylesbury town centre to raise awareness of the reasons behind the ongoing strike action.
Firefighter Steve Cook said: “This was a good opportunity for us to raise awareness of why we are striking and to engage with the community.
“Almost everyone we spoke to was supportive of us and agreed that for all firefighters to be made to work in their fifties was wrong, because some may not be physically able to.”
Mr Cook added there was a possibility of further strikes if a settlement could not be reached with the Fire Brigades Union.
