A crunch meeting between Vale housing chiefs and government planning minister Nick Boles has been arranged by Aylesbury MP David Lidington.
The Westminster talks come after Aylesbury Vale District Council’s housing plan was rejected by a government inspector.
The inspector said the council had not made provision for enough new homes in the Vale and had not taken neighbouring authorities’ plans into account.
Council leader Neil Blake has previously said he fears there is a hidden ‘government agenda’ behind the decision, which could means thousands more homes are built in the area than wanted.
David Lidington took to Twitter earlier today to announce the meeting.
He said: “Pleased that Planning Minister @NickBolesMP has agreed I can bring @aylesburyvale team to see him re Local Plan & housing numbers.”
Nick Boles is the parliamentary undersecretary for planning.
