A female shopkeeper was threatened with a crowbar as two men robbed her shop.

The men entered Spar in Meadow Way, Aylesbury, and when the woman was unable to open the till, one robber forced open the till with a crowbar.

The other suspect was keeping watch and they both fled with money from the till.

Police are appealing for information from the robbery which took place between 8pm-8.10pm on Tuesday.

The suspect carrying the crowbar is white, aged in his early to mid 20s, approximately 6ft tall and well built. He was wearing a dark-coloured jacket with a grey hooded top underneath, black gloves and a light-coloured snood.

The second offender is also white, approximately 6ft tall and well built. He was wearing a long black jacket, almost to knee-length with the hood up. He was also wearing black gloves and a light-coloured snood.

Detective Constable Simon Taylor said: “I would urge other local businesses to be vigilant and ensure that the minimum amount of money is kept in tills to deter similar offences from taking place.”
