Court round-up: Woman who begged in Aylesbury fined £25 under 1824 vagrancy law

A woman who has been fined for begging in a public place in Aylesbury appears in this week's bumper round-up from Aylesbury Magistrates' Court.

LYNSEY JAYNE BRADWICK, 23, care of Meadowcroft, Aylesbury. 1) On February 10 in Aylesbury Shopping Park, Cambridge Street, placed herself in a public place to beg or gather alms, contrary to the Vagrancy Act 1824 and the Criminal Justice Act 1982. Pleaded guilty. 2) Committed further offence while subject to conditional discharge for shoplifting. Admitted. Fined £25, victim surcharge £20.

SAM RICHARD ROGERS, 31, of no fixed abode. 1) On November 21 at Kings Close, Worminghall, assaulted a female. Pleaded not guilty, found guilty. 2) On November 21 in Walton Road, Aylesbury, drove a Volkswagen Golf after consuming 85 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit is 35mgs). Pleaded guilty. Awaiting sentence.

DANIEL MARNEY, 30, of Moorcroft Lane, Aylesbury. Between November 2012 and August 2014 dishonestly failed to promptly notify Aylesbury Vale District Council of a change in circumstances which he knew would affect his entitlement to housing benefit, in that he was in receipt of earning from remunerative employment. Pleaded guilty. Must carry out 60 hours of unpaid work. Also must pay £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.

TOBIAS ALEXANDER SAVILLE, 31, of Wendover Road, Weston Turville. On February 16 stole three steaks worth £10 from Waitrose, Aylesbury. Pleaded guilty. Fined £40, costs £85, victim surcharge £20, compensation £10.

KRASIMIR STANISLAVOV, 19, of New Street, Aylesbury. 1) On February 15 in Winslow Road, Swanbourne, drove Ford Focus after consuming 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit is 35mgs). Pleaded guilty. 2) Same date, drove without insurance and valid licence. Pleaded guilty. Disqualified from driving for 18 months. Fined £280, costs £85, victim surcharge £20.

JAMES NOEL BYRNE, 72, of Bankside, Wendover. On February 21 in Bankside, Wendover, drove a black Peugeot 307 after consuming 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit is 35mgs). Pleaded guilty. Disqualified from driving for 20 months, fined £240, costs £85, victim surcharge £24.

MPUMELELO KHUMALO, 33, of Desborough Park Road, Wycombe. On February 18 in Aylesbury, used threatening words/ behaviour with intent to cause a person alarm/ distress. Pleaded guilty. 2) On February 19 in Aylesbury, used threatening words/ behaviour with intent to cause a person alarm/ distress. Pleaded guilty. CHLOE DIANE LEES, 23, of Rainborough Gardens, Aylesbury. On July 25 criminally damaged a pair of glasses to the value of £99. Pleaded guilty. Fined £85, compensation £99, costs £100, victim surcharge £20.

ROSS EDWIN MARTYN NACARROW, 30, of Southway, London. 1) On November 23 in Rowland Way, Aylesbury, without the consent of the owner, took a Mercedes A Class for the use of yourself or another. Pleaded guilty. 2) Same date, drove without insurance or valid licence. Pleaded guilty. 3) On February 22 failed to surrender to the custody of Aylesbury Mangistrates’ Court, having been released on bail. Pleaded guilty. Awaiting sentence.

GORDON JAMES SARTIN, 42, of Mill Road, Leighton Buzzard. On February 22 on the B488 Cheddington, drove a black Ford Focus after consuming 67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit is 35mgs). Pleaded guilty. Disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £330, costs £85, victim surcharge £33.

KEVIN ANDREW MICHAEL YOUNG, 30, of Fowler Road, Aylesbury. On February 21 in Rowland Way, Aylesbury, had in his possession a small quantity of herbal cannabis, a class B drug. Pleaded guilty. Fined £80, costs £85, victim surcharge £20.

On February 26 in Jansel Square, Bedgrove, drove a black Vauxhall Astra after consuming 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit is 35mgs). Pleaded guilty. Disqualified from driving for 17 months, fined £600, costs £85, victim surcharge £60.
