An Aylesbury director is calling on aspiring thespians to take part in a series of drama workshops she is holding to prepare for a production in the town.
Madeleine Vose will be running 10 classes before the chosen company performs an unnamed play in March next year.
Miss Vose has worked as a director in London and the south west and is now hoping people in her home town can benefit from her experience.
She said: “The group will be working with classic and contemporary scripts and developing their performance skills in voice, characterisation and stagecraft.
“I’m really proud to be working with my old theatre studies teacher Mark Bowman as co-director. Twenty years ago he inspired me to go to drama school and pursue a career in theatre arts.”
Miss Vose’s last project was a south west tour of Lucy Prebble’s The Sugar Syndrome, taking in venues including The Northcott Theatre and Ustinov Studio at the Theatre Royal Bath.
The workshops will be every Tuesday from September 24 at 7pm at the Elmhurst Community Centre.
They are open to anyone aged 23 or older. A child star will also be needed to play a cameo role.
Drop in classes are £10 full price and £8 concession or you can sign up for all 10 classes and pay £8 per class (£6 concession).
