Clerk resigns from troubled council

Aston Clinton

Aston Clinton

A struggling parish council is holding yet another extraordinary meeting to appoint a new parish clerk after the former incumbent walked out.

Angela Casey is believed to have resigned from her role at the chaotic Aston Clinton Parish Council last week.

Yesterday a notice appeared outside the parish office in Aston Clinton Park summoning villagers to an emergency meeting next Wednesday, August 20 at 7pm.

On the agenda was the task to appoint an interim clerk – which will be an elected councillor – before a permanent replacement is found.
