A six-day flag relay in aid of a school for disabled children will culminate at Waddesdon Manor on Saturday.
Construction firm Jarvis, the team building the PACE Centre’s new Early Years Centre in Wendover Road, Aylesbury, kicked off the relay around Bucks earlier this week.
The flag is visiting locations where children’s lives have been transformed and unique messages will be added to it at each stop.
After visiting Aylesbury, Wendover and Thame, the relay will culminate with a flag raising at Waddesdon Manor at noon on Saturday, followed by a champagne reception in the manor’s winery.
PACE chief executive Amanda Richardson said: “We are delighted to signify this great moment in our ongoing development with the launch of a truly unique event.”
It is hoped £5,000 will be raised by the event, with the money going towards the initial running costs of the new centre.
There will also be prizes for the ‘most inspiring’ relay.
