Aspiring model Ana, 12, makes waves on pageant debut
Ana Ramos Martins, 12, is a finalist in Face of the Globe and and Model Search UK and a semi-finalist in Little Miss Teen Great Britain – the first three competitions she has ever entered.
The Grange pupil came over to Aylesbury with her parents from Portugal four years ago and quickly picked up the language.

Hide AdShe said that when she is older she wanted to be a full-time model, something she has dreamed about since being a little girl.
She said: “I really enjoy modelling fashions, it has always been a fun activity for me.
“Most of my friends spur me on and like me doing it,” she added.
The competitions carry a range of different prizes, but Ana said: “The prize for me is having the honour to win. I would feel really proud of myself. I hope I enjoy it and I want to enter more competitions.”

Hide AdWhile child beauty competitions have been criticised by some in the media for enforcing the message that physical appearance is all-important, her father Fernando said: “If children really want to do it then why criticise?
“They are doing something they like. It is a dream come true for them.
“They make friends and it helps with their confidence.”
