A group of armed youths attacked a man in an early morning assault today (Wednesday).
The assault happened at 12.15am in Penn Road when the victim, a 22-year-old man was near the train station bridge.
He was attacked by the gang who used a weapon which was thought to be a knife.
The man sustained serious injuries to his hand and shoulder, which required hospital treatment.
He attended Stoke Mandeville Hospital and has since been discharged.
All of the offenders are described as black and aged between 16 and 20.
Investigating officer Det Sgt Kerry Bradfield, from Aylesbury Force CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to contact police.
“If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the offence of if you have any information which could assist our enquiries please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.”
