This used to be quite a common scene in Aylesbury when the town could boast of having its own cattle market.

It was nothing unusual for cattle and sheep to escape and for traffic to be held up, as with this incident in March 1977, when these animals went for a stroll along Exchange Street and Walton Street.

To the right are premises once occupied by Cogger & Hawkins garage which is now the site of the Blue Leanie.
