Anita Dobson has spoken of the enjoyment she had starring as wicked fairy Carabosse in the Waterside pantomime Sleeping Beauty.
Ms Dobson, who threw herself into the role with passion as well as getting out and about in the community, said: “I have had an unexpectedly amazing time. I have never been to Aylesbury before so didn’t know what to expect, but it’s so pretty and everyone is so hospitable.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with the most wonderful people. We’ve had lovely reviews and the audience has loved it which is what it’s all about. I feel incredibly proud of the show and am so, so glad I did it.”
There were 42 performances over four weeks with audiences including babes in arms to seniors in their 90s.
Group bookings came in from 40 schools, as well as scouts, beavers and brownies.
Next year sees a return to Cinderella, the first panto performed at the theatre.
