A 52-year-old FA gold medal was among items stolen during two burglaries in Aylesbury on Tuesday.

Thieves struck at two houses in Greetham Road, forcing open the rear kitchen windows using a tool.

As well as the FA amateur 1962 gold medal, silver coins, electrical items, watches, jewellery and alcohol were stolen.

Police believe the burglaries, which happened between 6.30pm and 7pm, may be linked.

Sgt Jim Forrest said: “I am keen to speak to anyone that may have been in the area and witnessed any suspicious activity during the times of these burglaries.

“We would like to remind people to remain vigilant and ensure that their properties are as secure as possible at all times.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
