A mother and her four sons who went missing from their home in Aylesbury could now be in Birmingham, police believe.

35-year-old Sairah Bibi and her four sons; 16-year-old Khalid Zaman, 12-year-old Akbar Zaman, 10-year-old Abid Zaman, and 5-year-old Hamad Zaman, are missing from Somerville Way in Aylesbury.

Thames Valley Police said it had fresh information to suggest that Sairah Bibi has connections with the Midlands city.

Investigating Officer, Det Insp Mark Lacey based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We have fresh information that Sairah may have taken her sons to Birmingham.

“I would urge anyone who might have seen them to come forward.

“I would also appeal to the Sairah herself to call us. We just want to make sure that she and her family are safe.

“I would reiterate that we strongly believe that the family have no plans to travel abroad and this is not part of our enquiries.”

If you have any information that could lead to the family’s whereabouts, call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting URN 771 31/1.

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
