The inquest into a man who died at Cowroast Marina, near Tring, has been opened and adjourned.

Barry Doyle, 50, was rescued from the water by firefighters on the afternoon of Thursday, April 9 but could not be saved by paramedics.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Doyle, whose home address is listed as the marina, had been keeping his boat there for around four months.

His caused of death has been recorded as unascertained and will be subject to histology and toxicology reports.

A full inquest hearing will be held at a later date.
