A 51-year-old has been sent to a secure hospital after he admitted stabbing a man twice in the arm and threatening to kill him.

Kevin Peters, of Challoners Hill in Steeple Claydon, stabbed the 45-year-old man on July 19 last year at a home in the village.

Peters was arrested and charged with attempted murder after the stabbing but he has now been convicted of GBH, wounding and making threats to kill.

He will be held indefinitely at a secure hospital under the Mental Health Act.

Peters pleaded guilty to the charges at Reading Crown Court on 19 December last year and was convicted at the same court on January 23.
