Man attacked by two thugs in separate incidents on the same night in Aylesbury town centre

A man suffered two serious assaults on the same night which took place in Aylesbury and police want to know who did it.

The first incident happened around 3am on Friday 28 October in Buckingham Street, Aylesbury.

The victim, a 33-year-old man was walking past the Peking Inn Restaurant in Aqua Way and was involved in an altercation with a man standing outside. The victim was punched and fell to the ground.

Approximately 20 minutes later the victim was standing outside Buckinghamshire Bikes, in Buckingham Street when he was approached by another man and following a verbal altercation, he was assaulted for a second time.

The victim was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital for treatment for injuries to his eye socket. He has since been discharged.

Det Con Edward Blackburn, of Aylesbury Force CID, said: “These were violent assaults in which the victim was left with a fractured eye socket.

“Our officers will be in Aylesbury carrying out enquiries into these incidents, and a thorough investigation is taking place.

“I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed these assaults, or who has any information which they think could be relevant to our investigation.

“Anyone who has any details should contact Thames Valley Police via the non-emergency number 101.”
