POLICE have confirmed a man is fighting for his life after being shot in Walton Court at 10am on Wednesday morning.

Residents reported hearing gunshots and police swarmed to the area, thought to be Stour Close, where they found a man with what is believed to be gunshot wounds.

He was taken to hospital where police say the injury is life threatening.

Thames Valley Police say an investigation is ongoing and moved to reassure worried residents.

A police helicopter and several police cars were spotted this morning and as a result, pupils at nearby Mandeville School are being kept in by staff.

Parents who normally pick their children up at lunchtimes have also been informed that children are being kept in.

An eyewitness has told The Bucks Herald it was like a ‘scene from a movie’.

“It was really scary, it’s all really terrible,” said the shocked witness.

“I heard about seven or eight gunshots.”

Forensic officers are now at the scene.
